The unique programmable design of the Motion Lab Systems bioelectric preamplifiers makes them ideal for almost any situation requiring the amplification of very low level bioelectric signals. Each preamplifier contains RFI/ESD input protection, a programmable low-pass filter, a differential front end designed to maximize common mode performance, a programmable high-pass filter and a programmable output gain stage. This unique combination of features permits us to produce preamplifiers with virtually any gain and frequency characteristics that you may require.

Direct EMG pre-amplification at the skin surface provides the highest myoelectric signal quality for accurate, reliable EMG signal detection and eliminates cable motion artifact. We can build the preamplifier with any gain between x1 and x1000 and maintain common mode rejection performance. The precision dual-differential instrumentation pre-amplifier design attenuates unwanted common-mode bioelectric signals to reduce cross-talk from adjacent muscle groups. Internal RFI and ESD protection prevents radio frequency interference and static damage - the preamplifier will withstand up to 50V across the inputs. The constant low-impedance output of the pre-amplifier completely eliminates cable noise and cable motion artifacts without requiring any additional signal processing within the pre-amplifier. Custom pre-amplifiers normally have DC coupled outputs but capacitive decoupled outputs are available as an option. An integral ground reference plane provides immunity to electromagnetic environmental noise. All signal and power conductors in the pre-amplifier cable are enclosed inside an independent, isolated shield to eliminate interference from AC power-lines and other sources.

All preamplifier contacts are made using corrosion-free, non-magnetic, medical grade stainless steel for maximal signal flow. Alternative contact designs are available.

Each preamplifier is constructed using biocompatible housing and sensor materials to prevent allergic reactions.

Each unit is professionally built in FDA inspected facilities using high precision surface-mount instrumentation components for optimal EMG performance.
