10 Channel EMG Systems

This EMG system has received US FDA 510(k) clearance (Sec. 890.1375) for use as a diagnostic electromyograph for medical purposes.

The MA-300-10 features 22 data channels:

  • Ten EMG channels (DC to 2,000Hz -3dB), each with individual gain calibration and signal level indicator.
  • Four "research" channels (DC to 120Hz, -3dB), suitable for EKG, goniometers, and pressure sensors, etc.
  • Eight switch contact channels for events such as foot contact etc.

Easy to setup and use, this innovative digital EMG system has been designed for use in any Gait, Rehabilitation or Physical Therapy laboratory. As in our other products, the MA-300 continues to uphold our high standards of system integrity and reliability to produce a fully calibrated EMG signal at all times while providing the user with the convenience of individual gain controls and a signal level indicator for each EMG channel.

Accurate and reliable, the MA-300-10 uses sophisticated digital, error-correcting, telemetry techniques to ensure that EMG data is always exact.  A user-controlled anti-alias filter is built into the subject back-pack and, together with the correct choice of sampling rate, can be set to eliminate signal aliasing in any EMG recording situation.

The MA-300-10 is a ten channel EMG system that provides detection of full-bandwidth EMG activity from DC to 2,000 Hz across all EMG channels. It is supplied with ten EMG preamplifiers, each with a bandwidth or 20-2,000Hz (-3dB) for gait use, while EMG preamplifiers with a bandwidth of 10-2,000Hz (-3dB) are available for ISEK standard protocol research. The system supports eight contact switches as well as four additional research channels that can handle signals from DC through to 120 Hz, making them suitable for EKG, goniometers, and pressure sensors etc. Isolated DC power is available from the backpack making this system ideal for both clinical and student research projects.

The EMG system uses a single thin, super-flexible, 3/32" diameter coaxial cable to transfer information from the lightweight backpack (worn by the subject) to a slim desktop receiver while supplying isolated DC power to the backpack. This eliminates the need for batteries thus reducing operating costs while improving system reliability. The MA-300-10 is compatible with most major data collection, commercial gait and motion analysis systems.

Each system purchase includes a licence for our EMG Graphing software - this is an easy to use program that displays EMG data to produce reports of the EMG activity as either a trial (start to collection to end of collection) or gait cycle (foot contact to foot contact cyctel). The software displays raw, rectified and enveloped EMG trials and Raw and Rectified EMG Gait Cycles. It reads EMG data from most C3D files as well as older file formats (Vicon, BTS, Motion Analysis etc), and raw data from the Dataq data collection software that we offer.

All MA-300 systems are supplied with belts, jackets, cables, electrodes and event switches. There's nothing additional to be purchased in order to install and set up an MA-300 - each system is supplied with a detailed manual and experienced support is always available from Motion Lab Systems. Every MA-300 system is designed for maximum reliability under any gait lab operating conditions and we expect our systems to continue to operate day in, day out, without problems.
